The second site that I am doing is www.ilike.com. This site is very interesting because it’s all about music. The site does involve communication if you want to, but it is not necessary. What you do on the site is make a profile then the site will give you a bunch of different artists to choose from, you pick the one that u like and don’t pick the ones you don’t like. When you have gone through all of the artists you go to your home page. Here you can pick your top 12 artist or get songs that the site recommends you will like based on your musical taste. You can also add a photo of yourself so that other people can see you. Another good feature about it is that you can see other people with the same music taste as you. After you see who has similar music tastes you can add them as friends and leave them comments.
The part of the site that makes it appeal to more people is that you can download the iLike program which works in sink with iTunes. You can auto organize you songs on and add new songs such as the ones the site recommended. Then you can see the songs that your friends like and search the artist to listen to some songs. Even if you don’t download the iLike program you can listen to full songs on the web site.
I think that many people will use this site because it works with iTunes which is already a very well used program. It also appeals to a wide variety of ages because it has older artists and younger artist in a lot of genres. It has artists from The Beach Boys to 50 cent, form Maria Carey to Aretha Franklin.
I don’t think that there will be lots of problems because it is a well thought out site but a problem I had for it was that sometimes when you ask for more recommended songs it gives you the same songs over again. I think that it will solve a lot of problems such as disorganized songs on iTunes or having to pay for some songs.
I like this site because it works well with new technology and it connects you with other people that you will probably find interesting. It is also good because you can talk to people and see the songs that they like or play the most. You can also get free MP3 downloads of songs that you like. That’s why I like www.ilik.com.
